Saturday was a great day for Australian Bloodstock with Shraaoh winning the Sydney cup and multiple runners in group 1 races. It continues a great run for the syndicator with Aliferous taking out the Adrian Knox last week and Red Cardinal winning the Sky High Stakes in March. Followers of Luke Murrell’s tipping service also had a cleanup with +25u on the punt.
Jay Ford put Shraaoh into a great spot in the Sydney Cup sitting Midfield off a moderate tempo. The son of Sea The Stars settled great and was travelling strongly at the 500m, Jay Ford took all the right gaps and Shraaoh hit the lead 250m out and in a great battle down the Randwick straight held off a tough Vengeur Masque .
It was the Highlight of the day for Australian Bloodstock who also had Doukhan finish 5th in the race. Princess Posh proved again that she can’t run a bad race finishing 11th in the Coolmore Legacy, but only beaten 2.7 lengths. The ever improving Aliferous ran a great race in the Australian Oaks finishing 4th and it seems the syndicate have boosted their staying ranks yet again.
Members of Australian Bloodstock’s Co-Director Luke Murrell’s tipping service also had a great day out backing Shraaoh in the Sydney Cup @ $14. Luke also tipped a 4 leg multi that returned 13 units and had good goes at winners Got Your Six and Celebrator.
